Overall an excellent purchase.

This device came to occupy an important segment of the market. Let's see its behavior in the future. I highlight 3 negative notes: only 1 USB-C output; the limit of 10 Amperes on the solar input, which compromises the usefulness of pairing several solar panels in parallel connection; and the current impossibility of expansion batteries.

Using this unit as a UPS for critical server system.

After a recent firmware update the AC180 fuctions very well as a UPS for a critical server system I have. Great product!!

Good value unit but hampered by 1x USB-C, no expansion battery and a bit noisy at low AC loads.

This is an ok unit, but there was a few deal breakers for me: When you pay this much for a beefy power stations, 1x USB-C port is simply not enough. USB-C is so ubiquitous now, and being able to charge 2 laptops or 1 laptop + another device is simply something I expect for a unit this size. I bought it, tried to ignore it, but I just couldn't get past having to use an AC adapter for more than one USB-C port. Additionally it was more noisy at very low loads (60-100W) than I expected. I would say it's a very good size and the AC output specifications, form factor and design are really good. However I was also ultimately really disappointed with the fact that there's no expansion battery options for this. It doesn't make sense to me that the AC60 has expansion battery options, but not the AC180. However for the people who can live with a single USB-C port, no expansion battery options and isn't bothered by moderate noise at low loads (though it is possible that Bluetti can fix this in a firmware update), then this is a good value unit. At least they finally made the power adapter built and not external. Hope to see that on all units going forward!

  • Q1: What is Power Lifting Mode?

In this mode, AC180 can run high-power heating devices up to 2.700W, such as space heaters, hair dryers, electric blankets, etc.

Do NOT use this unit to run an air conditioner or washing machine.

  • Q2: Can it charge and discharge at the same time?

  • Q3: How do I know whether my appliance can work well with the AC180?

Calculate the total wattage of your devices. AC180 should work if the load doesn't exceed its rated 1.800W.

  • Q4: How long can it run my device?

The AC180 has different running times depending on the device you're using it with.

For high-power devices, the running time = Battery capacity × DoD × η ÷ load power.

    For low-power devices, the running time = Battery capacity × DoD × η ÷ (load power + self-consumption of AC180).

DoD refers to Depth of Discharge and η is local inverter efficiency.

    For AC180, DoD is 90%, η is 85%, and self-consumption is about 15W.

E.g. If you run a 100W blender with it, the running time will be:

    1152Wh × 90% × 85% ÷ (100W+15W) ≈ 7,66 hrs

    1) The formula is NOT suitable for inductive loads with compressors, like refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.

    2) The above data is for reference ONLY.

  • Q5: How quickly can I charge the AC180?

The AC180 supports up to 1.440W input. Plug it into a wall outlet and turn on the Turbo Charging mode on the BLUETTI App, and you can fill it up in only 1,3-1,8 hours.

  • Q6: What's the difference between Silent, Standard, and Turbo Charging modes?

These are the 3 AC charging modes of AC180, each with a different input power and charging speed.

It generates only 45dB of sound in the silent charging mode.

Charging Mode Input Power Charging Time (Estimated)
    Silent 260W 4,9 hours (4,9-5,4 hrs)
    Standard Around 1.000W 1,7 hours (1,7-2,2 hrs)
    Turbo Around 1.440W 1,3 hours (1,3-1,8 hrs)
  • Q7: Does AC180 support BLUETTI App control?
    • Yes, via Bluetooth.
  • Q8: What kind of solar panel should I choose for AC180?

Please refer to the following requirements:

    1. Total open circuit voltage: 12-60V

    2. Max. input power: 500W

    3. Equipped with MC4 connectors.

    Highly Recommended:

    1× BLUETTI PV420: ≈ 2,7 hrs*. (3,2-3,7 hrs)

    1× BLUETTI PV350: ≈ 3,3 hrs*. (3,8-4,3 hrs)

    2× BLUETTI PV200: ≈ 2,9 hrs*. (3,4-3,9 hrs)

    * For reference ONLY.

  • Q9: Is the AC180 waterproof?

No, but it's IP65 rated to resist water splashes and dust. Please do NOT keep it in a damp place for a long time.

  • Q10: Can I use or charge AC180 in sub-zero temperatures?

You can use the AC180 to power your devices in cold weather, but please avoid recharging it below freezing.

The operating temperature ranges for AC180 are:

    Charging: 0℃-40℃/32℉-104℉

    Discharging: -20℃-40℃/-4℉-104℉

  • Q11: Can it be laid on its side to save space?

No, this may damage the internal structure. Please keep it in an upright position either during storage or moving.

  • Q12: Is it possible to replace the built-in battery?

No. If the internal battery pack malfunctions or is dead, please contact BLUETTI Customer Service.

  • Q13: Can I expand its capacity by connecting it to B80/B230/B300/B300S batteries?

Currently, the AC180 supports capacity expansion with B80, B230, or B300 batteries. To connect B80 batteries, you'll need the Aviation to DC7909 cable*, while the P090D cable is required for B230/B300 batteries. Please make sure the batteries are in Power Bank Mode.
    *Available in August.
